Rates held steady overnight on the LR2s. Though positions remain tight for the 3rd decade window, there aren’t many cargoes left either. With fresh enquiries emerging for 1st decade April, it seems like the focus has shifted there instead.

It is a slightly different ball game on the LR1s. With the current benchmark at 55@W135 on the Main Haul Ag/Jpn route and a handful of 3rd Decade March cargoes left uncovered, it does seem that Owners are looking to sharpen their knives further.

The North MR segment remained stable overnight with a few uncovered month-end cargoes. Owner sentiment is still bullish in getting higher numbers done, which could point towards a positive outlook for now.
